Upgrading The Controller Firmware

Download the latest firmware file, in this case AllProfiLuxII_V301.zip.

Extract the zip file to your desktop or another folder you can find easily.

Next back up your settings from the Profilux plus II

In the PC software when connected to the Profilux, click File and then “Save settings (Profilux ->PC)” and save them to a folder you will be able to find again.

Now you are ready to update the Firmware on your Profilux plus II

Take the upgrade firmware option File/Firmware-Upgrade.

Accept the conditions…(after reading them!)

Then browse to the location that you saved the firmware file above and select that file.

Before clicking OK on the controller select (yes) to Download now? on the Profilux unit itself.

Click ok and do not do anything else on the PC while the firmware is being upgraded.

When you see the message below appear wait until the unit has re-booted before clicking OK

The firmware has now been installed correctly.

Re-connect to your controller and then from the File menu select Load (PC ->Profilux)

Select the settings file that you backed up at the start and ignore the message below.

The system will convert your settings from the old version to the new version when you upload them.

You have now successfully updated the firmware on your Profilux Plus II and can explore the new features.

It is at this point worth backing up your settings again so that they don’t need to be converted again.
