This is a guide on how I setup my LEDs via my computer.

Firstly plug in the LED either to L1/L2 or L3/L4 interface. As my Tunze wave box and streams are in the L1/L2 interface the LED obviously had to go into the other.

As my LED is the 3rd light I have running I assigned interface port 3 as Illumination 3 (port 3 is factory set for moon light anyway) Done in the extras menu, 01-10v interfaces. The voltage for these units have to set at 0.8v minimum according to the manual.

I then went into Illumination menu, selected Illumination 3.

You then have to set wether the lamp type is dimmable or non dimmable, obviously these are dimmable.

You can also set the hours run and if they require burning in (these don't)

You now have to set the dimming points. For my moonlight, I just used two:

On at 2145hrs - duration 15 mins (time it takes to get to the set intensity) - intensity (100%) Off 0600hrs - duration 60 mins (as above) intensity (0%)

What this does in laymans terms is turn the moonlight on at 2145hrs, by 2200hrs it will be at 100% brightness. It then will stay on until 0600hrs where it will take 60 mins to turn off.

Once that was programmed in you then press the save button

SUNRISE AND MOON PHASE

As explained, the L3 of the L3/L4 interface is automatically programmed for moon light straight from the factory. This leaves the L4 unavailable. So how to get a sunrise (red LEDs) and a moon phase (blue/white LEDs) from one LED light unit.

Firstly go into the illumination menu and assign illumination 4 it's dimmable program (it's on, off and intensity points)

Then go into the extras menu, 01-10V interface sub menu and assign interface 4 to illumination 4

This is the sunrise timings done and L4 interface assigned illumination program 4 (sunrise)

NOW

Go back to the illumination menu and select illumination 3 (remember this is factory set for moonlights) Enter it's dimmable program (on, off intensity points)

Go back to extra menu, 01-10V interface sub menu and assign interface 3 to illumination 3

This is the moonlight timings done and L3 assigned illumination program 3 (moonlights)

With the new Simu versions it is also possible to change the behaviour of the LED lamps by re-programming them to re-act to different channels or lightning flashes. Please see this guide: Re-programming LED light units
